Tony Perkins' AlwaysOn has been increasing the reach of its unique model, first by innovating with a live running chat session appearing on screens beside panel discussions, and then by allowing members of the AlwaysOn to sign on from anywhere in the world to not only participate but to see and listen to the presentations.
Although the 'maiden' AlwaysOn "Stanford Summit" conference at Stanford Law School four years ago unfortunately and ironically suffered from flaky wireless availability, the program, participants, venues and technology have grown consistently ever since.
So, it was a great benefit to me - and perhaps to some of our readers - to be able to continue participating in the conference here in Silicon Valley when I had to return Wednesday night. And, what's more, Tony's team have already posted archives to the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions.
Wednesday's Keynoter Padmasree Warrior, CTO of Motorola, set the tone for the conference and for AlwaysOn's theme by suggesting its true label ought to be "AlwaysOnDemand".
Now, it is.
