I admit it. Once again, I'm not an A-lister. For the third year in a row, I'm not registered to attend Web 2.0. I don't know what it is - lack of looks, charm, degree from the right B-school, secret password - but for whatever reason I haven't been able to receive an invitation to attend. It doesn't matter that I know and like many of the people involved in its production, nor that I've covered every major conference in the tech arena for the past six years. I guess I simply haven't yet penetrated the upper echelons of tech-dom. Still, someday I'm hopeful I'll make the grade.
I will be attending Web 2.2, however, at least on Friday, which is an unconference being organized by a variety of friends, at 1 Market in SF on Nov. 9 & 10. Worth checking out.

a shame, really. It's their, and our loss.
I was a paying subscriber to the conferenza newsletter and found it invaluable, mainly thanks to the writing.
very sorry to hear we will not be able to read reports from web 2.0 here.
